Lamborghini and Chevrolet have prepared for us some nice surprises at the Geneva Motor Show
Lamborghini brings two premieres at the Geneva Motor Show

Geneva Motor Show is one of the favorite auto events of the officials from Lamborghini. It is therefore logical for the Italians to show a keen interest in the Swiss salon and to promise us at least a premiere. Unofficial sources claim, however, that we may even see two new models at the Lamborghini stand.
The first of them will undoubtedly be Aventador Roadster, the convertible version of the 700 horsepower supercar. The derivative will introduce in premiere a roof made from carbon fiber and composite materials, superior to the one found on the old Murcielago Roadster. At the mechanical level there will be no changes compared to the coupe.
The same unofficial sources speak of a second surprise, a new model, able to win the hearts of fans. All clues lead to the production version of the concept Sesto Elemento, introduced in the autumn of 2010 at the Paris Motor Show. The supercar will benefit from a V10 engine of 570 horsepower, borrowed from Gallardo, and a carbon fiber body, which will reduce the total weight at just 999 kilograms. The number of units scheduled for production will be extremely limited and the price will be according to it.
Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon debuts in Geneva

After receiving a hatchback version in 2011, Cruze will be offered in a station wagon version. The compact wagon from Chevrolet will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, but the brand showrooms will present it only in the third quarter of the year. Initially, the fans of the brand expected a debut of the coupe version of this model, but the practical spirit was the first in the minds of those from Chevrolet.
Chevrolet Cruze could also get a hybrid version, but those from General Motors have not taken a final decision in this regard. This version would be cheaper than Volt and could offer a superior fuel economy compared to other engines in the Cruze range, but lower than the one offered by Volt. Cruze hybrid could debut in 2013 and is a parallel hybrid that can be powered from the mains, not a series hybrid like the Volt. Thus, unlike the Volt, Chevrolet Cruze hybrid will engage the wheels with both the internal combustion engine and the electric motor.
Globally, Cruze is the fourth best-selling model in its segment and the seventh overall. The top 10 U.S. markets for the model are: China, U.S., Russia, Canada, Mexico, India, Turkey, South Korea, Israel and Spain. If we think that the European launch took place in 2009 and in North America in 2010, the American compact’s performance is impressive. Chevrolet celebrated its centenary in 2011 and was marked by a celebration of joy in the Cruze range, the model being produced in over one million copies.
